  • My family has been attending church at Joshua Springs for over 25 years and it is our home. Pastor Jerel teaches from the Bible and you really learn from the Lord speaking to your heart.

  • I love this church so many opportunities to be fed by the word of God. So many ministries and bible studies multiple days a week. If you miss a bible study you can catch up on their YouTube channel a day later or listen to their podcast. This church is son fire for God! Excellent Worship team as well.

The most spite filled, hateful homophobic hypocrite I have ever heard. I was horrified listening to this mans sermon. From having to hear about his viewing pornography to listening to his judgmental ramblings of homosexuals and how Palm Springs is Sodom and Gomora. This pastor is the worst pastor I have ever heard in my life. Never going back.

  • I really love Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel. The people are great and very friendly.Pastor Jerel delivers the message from the Word Of God every Sunday in a very easy to understand delivery. His humor always makes it interesting. God has blessed this church in its efforts to minister to the youth and community and starting churches outside the area. If you want to be fed with solid Bible teaching, this is the church you need to attend!

So, ive only been here twice. Everybody seems really nice and fired up for God. But the moment i stepped in i just couldnt help but feel distracted by all the fancy lighting. Like i was being lured with things that are a waste of donated money. I come from much smaller churche background (im 24 btw, not afraid of technology) with a much more humble and simple feel to it. I also didnt like being asked to donate for a, "fountain" project. It felt extremely inappropriate. My husband is a fairly new christian and he felt the exact same way. Like what does a fountain have to do with church and God? The screens overwhelm me with all the activities going on. Its a huge church and i think its a school too. I just wish they would separate the school stuff and the church stuff more. I want to go into church to worship God and to study his word. Almost felt like i was being advertised to go to their school. Its a shame, because all the other churches around yucca valley are incredibly small. This place clearly has the monopoly, and im sure they know it. As a young housewife with a baby i struggle to make friends in small churches where its mostly people in their 50s and up. I wish this church would branch out a lil, making it easier for people to get to know eachother, instead of making this giant fancy megachurch they seem to be aiming for. I just dont feel comfortable in financially supporting a church that thinks fountains is going to save souls. I prefer a humbling appearence that focuses on using money for better things, like the poor. Im here to think about God, not the crazy blue, pink pillars of light on the stage. I dont even want to know how much that costed. Idk. . . That fountain thing just annoyed the heck out of me. Lets stop spending money on ridic lighting and fountains and who knows what else, and use it for the poor, or help support our smaller local churches. Churches dont need all that stuff. And it just makes christians look bad for not paying their property taxes when they spend all that money on entertainment type stuff. I think itd be great if their fliers had their financial information on it. List their expenses, show people where their money really goes so we dont feel like its going into a black hole...like our taxes.
